Get ready for a weekend of adrenaline, spectacular aerial displays and high-speed entertainment as the G-FORCE FESTIVAL: The Wonderboom Airshow prepares to take over Wonderboom Airport in Pretoria on Saturday, 31 October 2026.
Bringing together the excitement of aviation, motorsport and family entertainment, the festival promises an action-packed experience for aviation enthusiasts, petrolheads, thrill-seekers and families looking for something different to enjoy.
One of the biggest attractions will be the exciting showdown between high-performance aircraft and racing cars, as the machines go head-to-head along the runway in a thrilling display of speed, power and engineering.
The skies will also come alive with aerobatic pilots taking on a low-level pylon racing course, navigating around markers at impressive speeds while demonstrating remarkable precision, control and flying skills.
Helicopter displays featuring dramatic aerial manoeuvres will add another dimension to the entertainment, ensuring that spectators have plenty to look forward to throughout the day.
Celebrating South African aviation
At the heart of the G-FORCE FESTIVAL is a celebration of aviation and the incredible skill behind flying.
Some of South Africa’s leading aerobatic pilots are expected to showcase their talents, with a line-up featuring high-performance aerobatic aircraft, beautifully preserved vintage planes and legendary World War II-era warbirds.
The displays will offer visitors an opportunity to appreciate both the evolution of aviation and the remarkable capabilities of modern aircraft.
From precision flying and tight formations to daring aerial manoeuvres, the Wonderboom Airshow promises an unforgettable experience for those fascinated by the world of flight.
Motorsport meets aerial entertainment
Beyond the skies, the festival will bring plenty of action to the ground.
The Jungle X freestyle motocross riders are set to entertain audiences with spectacular jumps, gravity-defying tricks and impressive performances as they launch off ramps in front of spectators.
The combination of aircraft-versus-car racing, aerobatic pylon racing, helicopter manoeuvres and freestyle motocross creates a unique entertainment experience that goes beyond a traditional airshow.
A festival for the whole family
While aviation and motorsport will take centre stage, the G-FORCE FESTIVAL is also designed to accommodate families.
Younger visitors can enjoy jumping castles and family-friendly entertainment, while adults can soak up the atmosphere, enjoy refreshments at the beer tent and experience the day’s entertainment.
Whether attending for the aircraft displays, motorsport action or simply to enjoy a memorable day out with friends and family, the festival offers something for different generations.
With gates opening at 08:00 and flying displays scheduled between 10:00 and 15:00, visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy several hours of entertainment at one of Pretoria’s recognised aviation destinations.
As the countdown to the festival begins, Wonderboom Airport is preparing to become a meeting point for aviation enthusiasts, motorsport lovers and families united by a shared appetite for excitement.
One day. Incredible machines. Unforgettable action. The G-FORCE FESTIVAL is ready to put Pretoria’s skies and runway into the spotlight.
