Joining the METRO FM family are Siyabonga “Scoop” Ngwekazi and Nomuzi Mabena, who will bring a fresh energy to the station’s weekend programming. Scoop, a recognised radio personality with a strong connection to South African urban culture, and Nomuzi Mabena, who brings significant television and youth culture appeal, will co-host a new lifestyle-led show with a strong digital focus.
The dynamic duo of Moozlie and Scoop Makhathini, who are deeply connected to South Africa’s vibrant street culture, will host their innovative show, Lift Off. The weekend lifestyle urban format show will air Fridays between 19:00:22:00 and Saturdays from 18:00-21:00pm.The new lineup retains the strength of METRO FM’s current offering, while incorporating new voices that complement the station’s sound and support its continued relevance with audiences,starting from 1st of April 2026.


Additionally, Ricardo Genesis, a young broadcaster from VOW FM, joins METRO FM as part of the next generation of radio talent. He takes over from Ismail Abrahams, who is leaving the station to pursue other interests in media. Mvangeli Nzuza also joins the station’s weekday lineup, strengthening traffic reporting and enhancing METRO FM’s drive time service. Newsreader, Paulette Neo Kayise will transition to weekend news.
