An exclusive race-day experience brings Formula 1®, music, entertainment and premium hospitality together in Johannesburg
Formula 1 is more than just a motorsport spectacle. It is about the adrenaline, the anticipation, the strategic conversations, the dramatic overtakes and, most importantly, the shared excitement that brings fans together. This November, Heineken® is taking that experience beyond television screens with the return of Heineken House F1 Edition, an exclusive race-day experience set to bring guests together for the Brazilian Grand Prix on Sunday, 8 November 2026.
With its global partnership with Formula 1 continuing to create exciting opportunities for fan engagement, Heineken® is transforming the traditional race-day viewing experience into a premium social occasion, combining motorsport, music, entertainment and hospitality.
The Johannesburg experience will welcome invited guests for an afternoon of racing excitement, offering an opportunity to connect with fellow Formula 1 enthusiasts while enjoying the atmosphere of one of the sport’s most anticipated race weekends.
Interestingly, findings from a BusinessTech poll reveal that 51% of respondents usually watch Formula 1 races at home, while 45% do not usually watch races live. None of the respondents identified organised public viewing events as part of their usual race-day experience.
These findings highlight an opportunity to make motorsport more social and accessible through shared viewing experiences.
“Formula 1® has an incredible ability to bring people together, and that’s where Heineken® sees an opportunity to add something meaningful to the race-day experience,” says Warrick Wyngaard, Marketing Communication Manager at Heineken® South Africa.
He adds that Heineken House creates a space where invited guests can experience the excitement collectively through entertainment, hospitality and social connection.
A RACE-DAY EXPERIENCE BEYOND THE TRACK
The programme promises an exciting combination of experiences, beginning with a dedicated Audi experience before guests transition to the Paddock Club for the Brazilian Grand Prix viewing.
Music will also take centre stage, with performances from Thuly Thulz, Akio, McShawty and PH, while Sun-EL will take over for a celebratory hour after the race.
Adding to the occasion, personalities from across entertainment and popular culture, including Kwenzo, Jaxx, Cassi, Sweet Guluva, Tyrone Jones and Zulu Mkhathini, will also be part of the experience.
Beyond the Johannesburg gathering, Heineken® continues to expand its Formula 1 offering nationally through its digital rewards platform, The Paddock Club.
GETTING CLOSER TO THE FORMULA 1 ACTION
The Paddock Club gives consumers an opportunity to engage with Formula 1 beyond race weekends. Through purchasing participating Heineken® products, taking part in F1-inspired trivia, collecting limited-edition bottles and competing with friends, consumers can earn points and unlock various rewards.
These include beer, hosting kits, limited-edition F1 beer packs and opportunities to enjoy race-screening experiences.
The campaign also features limited-edition Heineken® F1-inspired aluminium bottles, available exclusively at Heineken House experiences and selected on-trade venues.
As motorsport continues to attract audiences across different lifestyle and entertainment communities, initiatives such as Heineken House demonstrate how global sporting partnerships can create meaningful social experiences beyond the circuit.
For South African Formula 1 fans, the message is clear: race Sunday is becoming more than just sitting in front of a television. It is about the people, the atmosphere and the shared moments that make every lap memorable.follow more on @sabuzzmedia@HeinekenSA..@F1grandprix
