Janet Jackson Unable to Perform at DStv Delicious Festival

Johannesburg, South Africa – September 17, 2024 – It is with heartfelt regret that we announce Janet Jackson will no longer headline the DStv Delicious Festival Powered by LottoStar due to urgent family commitments following the recent passing of her brother, Tito Jackson. We extend our deepest condolences to Janet and her family during this difficult time.

Janet Jackson’s management shared the following in communication with the festival’s team: “Janet’s brother Tito passed away this past Sunday. For obvious reasons, Janet has to cancel her performance at the DStv Delicious Festival to be with family. Management is making plans to come back next year. Janet also wishes to thank all of her South African fans for the warm and heartfelt support she’s receiving at this difficult time.”

The DStv Delicious Festival Management Team is aware of the excitement around Janet Jackson’s appearance and is currently working on securing a fitting international replacement headliner. Fans can rest assured that every effort is being made to ensure an unforgettable experience.

For ticket holders wishing to exchange their Saturday, 21 September 2024 tickets for Sunday, 22 September 2024 tickets, Ticketmaster will offer this option on their website between 20:00 on Tuesday, 17 September 2024 and 23:59 on Wednesday, 18 September 2024, subject to availability. Interested ticket holders can follow this link to activate the option. Saturday tickets will remain valid for those who wish to retain them.
